Private equity firm sells ECG Management Consultants to Siemens

Healthcare strategy firm ECG Management Consultants was sold to Siemens Medical Solutions USA, a subsidiary of Siemens Healthineers AG. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of this year pending regulatory approval.

Gryphon Investors, a private equity firm based in San Francisco acquired ECG in November 2014, and sold the company to Siemens for an undisclosed amount. ECG provides operational, financial and technology consulting services to academic medical centers, health systems and medical groups.

ECG will operate as a standalone unit within Siemens Healthineers after the sale.
