PhyMed taps former CHS exec Marty Bonick as CEO — 4 key notes

Nashville, Tenn.-based PhyMed Healthcare Group named Marty Bonick its CEO.

Here’s what you should know:

1. Mr. Bonick has more than 20 years of leadership experience.

2. He has extensive experience with physician practices, specifically in creating new anesthesia groups.

3. Mr. Bonick most recently was the president of division operations at Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems, where he oversaw a $4.5 billion portfolio of hospitals and associated centers.

4. PhyMed Board of Directors Chairman Chris Ferrara said in a release, “[Mr. Bonick’s] perspective will give us invaluable insight into the hospital side of our business so that we can continue to meet the needs of our hospital partners.”
