Anesthesiologists at outpatient care centers make more than CEOs at public and private companies do, when compared using the Bureau of Labor Statistics‘ most recent annual mean wage data.

1. Anesthesiologists: $269,220
2. Surgeons: $256,660
3. Psychiatrists: $233,920
4. General internists: $220,420
5. OB-GYN: $218,970
6. Family and general practitioners: $213,900
7. Nurse anesthetists: $194,440
8. General pediatricians: $189,400
9. CEOs: $183,290
10. Podiatrists: $165,300

Note: BLS calculated industry-specific occupational wage estimates using data collected from employers of all sizes, in metropolitan and nonmetropolitan areas in every state and the District of Columbia.
