New Jersey Association Ambulatory Surgical Centers (NJAASC) held its 8th Annual ASC Conference on June 12 and 13.
With over 300 attendees and 40 vendors displaying, it was the largest NJAASC event to date.
For the first time NJAASC added a second, partial day.
"We listened to our vendors and responded with the addition of additional time, the evening before," said Jeff Shanton, president, NJAASC. "Instead of having our vendors arrive at the crack of dawn the day of, we held a three hour informal gathering the night before. The vendors set-up and had a lot more quality face-to-face time with attendees, which suited all parties perfectly."
In addition, a contest was held for ‘Best Practices’ of ASCs and a prize given, and everyone had a good time at the Welcome to Summer BBQ.
June 13 was the full day, with over a dozen speakers and break-out sessions. A highlight was a special podcast by John Goehle that featured NJAASC leadership discussing the state of the industry in New Jersey.
