Tenet CEO Trevor Fetter steps down today: 4 points

Trevor Fetter stepped down from his position as CEO and resigned as director of Tenet Healthcare, effective Oct. 23.

Here are four points:

1. The company’s board of directors named Tenet Executive Chairman Ronald Rittenmeyer CEO.

2. Tenet is still searching for a permanent CEO.

3. On Aug. 30, the company broke news that Mr. Fetter was stepping down and would maintain his positions until Tenet appointed a successor or by March 15, 2018.

4. Nearly two months ago, Tenet said it was adding new leadership to the board due to healthcare market demands. Mr. Rittenmeyer said the changes aim to drive “operational and financial performance in a manner that maximizes shareholder value.”
