Illinois Bone & Joint Institute promoted William J. Robb, III, MD, to orthopedic director, CMO.

Here are four things to know:

  1. Dr. Robb joined IBJI in 1995. He has 40 years of surgical experience and specializes in adult knee disorders.
  1. Dr. Robb will take the lead in maintaining and improving clinical quality and safety, strategic planning, overseeing implementation of quality improvement programs, furthering development of subspecialty excellence in service-line programs and acting as lead orthopedic liaison within provider and payer markets.
  1. Before coming to IBJI, Dr. Robb held leadership positions at the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Illinois Orthopaedic Society and served as Chairman of the NorthShore University Health System’s department of orthopedic surgery from 2005-2012.
  1. He received the 2017 W.W. Tipton Leadership Award from the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
