Foundation gifts North Carolina hospital $100K for surgical expansion — 3 insights

The Cannon Foundation gifted Wake Forest Baptist Health-Lexington (N.C.) Medical Center $100,000 for its surgical facility expansion, The-Dispatch.com reports.

What you should know:

1. Lexington Medical Center is spending $31.5 million to expand its surgical facility.

2. The facility will have four digital operating rooms, a 10-bay post-anesthesia care unit, a urology procedure room, a waiting room and private consultation rooms.

3. The Cannon Foundation was established in 1943 by Charles Cannon, the former president and CEO of Cannon Mills Co. The foundation funds capital and equipment improvement projects in North Carolina.
