Dr. Stanford Plavin pens chapter on EHR integration in ASCs — 3 insights

Stanford Plavin, MD, contributed to the "Manual of Practice Management for Ambulatory Surgery Centers: An Evidence-Based Guide."

Three insights:

1. Intended for ASC medical directors, administrators, anesthesiologists, surgeons and perioperative leaders, the resource covers regulatory issues, outpatient pediatric anesthesia, inventory management, personnel training and more. The manual was edited by Niraja Rajan, MD.

2. Dr. Plavin wrote an 18-page chapter called "EHR: Incorporating into Practice – Using Data Meaningfully, Obtaining Benchmarking and Metrics Information." 

3. Dr. Plavin is the owner of Oral Surgery Anesthesia Associates and Ambulatory Anesthesia Partners, both based in Atlanta. He is also the president and owner of Technical Anesthesia Strategies and Solutions, a management services and consulting firm.
