Arkansas Surgical Hospital nurse earns '40 Nurse Leaders Under 40' honor — 3 things to know

The Arkansas Center for Nursing named Sarah Loftin, director of quality services and risk management at Arkansas Surgical Hospital, one of 2018’s "40 Nurses Under 40." According to a press release from the organization, the program recognizes leaders for their "commitment and dedication to the nursing profession."

Here’s what you should know:

1. She joined Arkansas Surgical Hospital in 2014 as a staff nurse in the pre-operative department and became its clinical coordinator in 2016.

2. Mrs. Loftin was promoted to director of quality services and risk management in late 2017.

3. Mrs. Loftin, an alumna of University of Arkansas at Little Rock, is a certified medical surgical nurse, and received her nursing degree from Baptist Health Schools.
