8 NueHealth ASCs earn center of excellence designation — 3 insights

Eight NueHealth ASCs earned ValueHealth's Ambulatory Center of Excellence designation.

What you should know:

1. ValueHealth awards the designation to centers that not only meet national accrediting guidelines, but also elevate clinical, quality and financial performance.

2. The following centers earned the designation:

  • City Place Surgery Center (Creve Coeur, Mo.)
  • The Surgical Center at Columbia Orthopaedic Group (Columbia, Mo.)
  • Gold Coast Surgicenter (Chicago)
  • St. Joseph (Mo.) Center for Outpatient Surgery
  • Viewmont Surgery Center (Hickory, N.C.)
  • Jefferson Surgical Center at the Navy Yard (Philadelphia)
  • The Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery (Munster, Ind.)
  • Riddle Surgical Center (Media, Pa.)

3. A ValueHealth expert surveys the center after it undergoes a self-assessment. The expert then decides whether to award the designation.

"Going through the process with these eight facilities challenged us to find better ways to serve our patients, and it is a constant reminder that our responsibility is to strive to continuously improve the value delivered to the patient," said Mary Dailey, NueHealth's senior vice president of clinical operations.

NueHealth is based in Leawood, Kan.
