5 things to about new American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery President Dr. Douglas Lundy

The American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery named Atlanta-based Resurgens Orthopaedics’ Douglas Lundy, MD, its new president.

Here are five things to know about Dr. Lundy:

1. Dr. Lundy is co-president of Resurgens Orthopaedics.

2. He touts many major career accomplishments including:

  • Chairing the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Council on Advocacy
  • Serving as the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery’s Treasurer
  • Serving as the Orthopaedic Trauma Association’s CFO

3. Atlanta Magazine has named Dr. Lundy one of its Top Docs annually since 2011.

4. He earned his medical degree from Augusta-based Medical College of Georgia. He completed a residency at Atlanta-based Georgia Baptist Medical Center and a fellowship at Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt University.

5. Dr. Lundy is an American College of Surgeons fellow.
