U.S. Senator Susan Collins (R-Maine) was recently honored by the American Cancer Society’s Cancer Action Network. She received the National Distinguished Advocacy Award, which recognizes lawmakers who demonstrate leadership in cancer-related public policy advocacy.

2. She was an original cosponsor of the Removing Barriers to Colorectal Cancer Screening Act.
