US Endoscopy has released its VIA bedside endoscope pre-cleaning kit, according to an EndoNurse report.
The single-use VIA kit includes supplies needed to pre-clean an endoscope immediately after a procedure is performed. It is designed to cut down on cross-contamination. The kit includes a basin and enzymatic sponge.
The Society of Gastroenterology Nurses & Associates supports the performance of endoscope pre-cleaning.
