West Tennessee Medical Group Gastroenterology, part of Jackson-based West Tennessee Healthcare, will close July 1.
The organization did not provide a reason for the closure, and encouraged patients with ongoing specialty gastroenterology services to establish care with another provider, according to a June 16 news release from West Tennessee Healthcare.
Current provider Florentina Whitford will maintain her practice location in McKenzie, Tenn., under McKenzie General Surgery, a satellite of Martin General Surgery.
In addition to the McKenzie location, West Tennessee Medical Group Gastroenterology has practices in Dyersburg, Martin and Paris, Tenn., according to its website.
