Takeda Pharmaceutical, PRA Health Sciences enter clinical, operational partnership: 3 notes

The Japanese pharmaceutical company Takeda Pharmaceutical and the Raleigh, N.C.-based contract research organization PRA Health Sciences have entered a new partnership.

Here’s what you need to know:

1. PRA Health Sciences will serve as Takeda Pharmaceutical’s primary strategic partner, managing clinical studies at all stages of development.

2. PRA Health Sciences will also provide Takeda Pharmaceutical with regulatory, pharmacovigilance and other operational services.

3. Takeda Pharmaceutical expects that about 300 of its employees will transition to PRA Health Sciences, which has offices throughout the United States and Europe. Discussion regarding employees in Japan is ongoing.
