Here’s what you should know:
1. The company welcomed Lieutenant Governor of Illinois Evelyn Sanguinetti to it’s U.S. headquarters — in Deerfield, Ill. — to serve as honorary chairman of a 5k race around the corporation’s campus.
2. The company donated $50,000 to the American Red Cross and $25,000 to both the Mother’s Trust Foundation and Operation Support Our Troops America.
3. Ms. Sanguinetti said in a release, “These charitable organizations really depend upon corporate support, and it’s great to see one of Chicago’s premier pharmaceutical companies signing up.”
4. In addition, Takeda announced plans for a multimillion dollar renovation of its campus. The company plans to start the project in the third quarter of fiscal year 2017.
