Researchers found insufficient congruence between EBM familiarity and competency scores. However, academic, research and advanced-degree gastroenterologists and those with recent EBM training showed higher EBM competency.

Most gastroenterologists in the survey regularly utilized the EBM-related resource UpToDate more often than PubMed or Clinical Evidence.
