Stryker opens ‘OR of the Future’ in customer experience center: 4 insights

Stryker’s endoscopy division opened its customer experience center in San Jose, Calif.

Here’s what you need to know.

1. The customer experience center features the “Operating Room of the Future.” The OR concept uses Microsoft’s HoloLens, a self-contained holographic computer, to allow customers to experience a “Connected Hospital.”

2. In a release, Stryker said the OR of the Future allows customers to envision how Stryker’s surgical equipment and displays will function in an OR through holographic technology.

3. Customers can interact with the holograms and manipulate the technology to see how it works.

4. In addition to the HoloLens, the center features a media wall, an innovation hall, a solutions workshop and a history wall.
