Stony Brook University Medical Center Opens New Bariatric and Metabolic Center

Stony Brook University Medical Center has launched a new Bariatric and Metabolic Weight Loss Center, according to a report by the Stony Brook Statesman.

The center’s director and chief of general surgery, Aurora Pryor, MD,  has previously performed more than 2,650 weight loss surgeries with a 75 percent success rate, compared to the average national success rate of 68 percent.
