Mission had proposed to move the endoscopy room from its Asheville campus to the new Fletcher campus, which is a joint-venture project between Mission and Pardee Hospital in Hendersonville, N.C.
A CON application for the room was denied last August on grounds that Mission did not “demonstrate the need” for the endoscopy room on the campus, according to earlier reports. Mission resubmitted the CON for the room in April.
Despite the state’s denial, Mission will move forward with the outpatient campus project, according to the report.
