SmartPill by Gastroenterology Associates of Beverly Hills Wirelessly Tests GI Tract

Gastroenterology Associates of Beverly Hills (Calif.) has launched its SmartPill, a capsule that travels through the gastrointestinal tract while wirelessly transmitting data.

The SmartPill can test GI pressure, pH level, transit times and temperature to a recorder on a belt clip or lanyard. Physicians can evaluate the GI tract without any radiation or sedation.
