Shamokin Community Area Hospital in PA Selects ProVation MD Software

Wolters Kluwer Health has announced Shamokin Community Area Hospital in Coal Township, Pa., has selected its ProVation MD software for gastroenterology procedure documentation and coding, according to a Wolters Kluwer Health news release (pdf).

ProVation MD, which is available for a full range of specialties, replaces dictation and transcription and allows physicians to document procedures at the point of care, according to a company news release.

 

“Shamokin Community Area Hospital is committed to providing high quality, cost-effective healthcare services to the communities served,” said Arvind Subramanian, president and CEO, Wolters Kluwer Health Clinical Solutions, in the release. “We are pleased that they have selected ProVation MD software to further this mission and provide streamlined documentation and coding at the point of care.”

 

Shamokin Community Area Hospital is a 70-bed, not-for-profit community-sponsored healthcare organization providing medical, emergency, physician and hospital services. Specialty clinics include cardiology, dermatology, otolaryngology, gastroenterology, gynecology, physiatry, general and vascular surgery and orthopaedics.
