Rockford Gastroenterology Associates' President Dr. Arnold Rosen to retire — 4 key notes

Rockford (Ill.) Gastroenterology Associates President Arnold Rosen, MD, is retiring after 27 years in practice.

1. Dr. Rosen joined the practice in 1990 and served as its president for "many years."

2. He began his career after earning his medical degree from Albany (N.Y.) Medical College of Union University. He completed an internship and residency at Seattle-based Virginia Mason Medical Center before his fellowship at Washington, D.C.-based Georgetown University Medical Center.

3. After learning of RGA and hearing RGA co-founder Bill Baskin, MD, speak at a conference meeting, Dr. Rosen wrote a letter to the practice. After visiting it twice, he committed to RGA.

4. He plans on volunteering for Rockford Public Schools in their band department and spending time with his family during his retirement. Dr. Rosen is a Tuba player and a jazz percussionist.
