Gastroenterologist Tarek Hassanein, MD, will be the board’s chairman. He also serves as vice chairman and CMO of Primrose Healthcare. He focuses on viral hepatitis, fatty liver, cirrhosis and liver cancer management.
W. Ray Kim, MD, chief of the gastroenterology and hepatology division at Stanford (Calif.) University School of Medicine, will also serve on the newly formed medical advisory board.
Nancy Reau, MD, an associate professor of medicine at The University of Chicago Medicine, was also named to the board.
