Physicians Endoscopy buys into Great South Bay Endoscopy — 4 key notes

Physicians Endoscopy purchased a minority stake in East Patchogue, N.Y.-based Great South Bay Endoscopy.

Here’s what you should know:

1. The companies finalized the deal May 12.

2. Physicians Endoscopy will manage both the business and operational services of Great South Bay Endoscopy.

3. Great South Bay Endoscopy is a two-room ASC. It opened in 2014 and performs more than 5,000 annual cases. The center has five physicians.

4. GSBE Medical Director Ravi Singh, MD, said in a release, “Partnering with a management company to bring our center to the next level was a no-brainer. We had considered it for a while and then decided that it was the right next step for us.”
