Washington, D.C.-based Gazuntite, a specialist referral platform, has added Anchorage, Alaska-based Pioneer GI Clinic to its network.
Pioneer GI Clinic is joining Gazuntite as the platform’s founding gastroenterology specialists, providing the gastroenterology practice with an ownership stake in Gazuntite, according to an Oct. 3 news release from Gazuntite.
In addition, Ajay Pabby, MD, managing partner of Pioneer GI Clinic, has been named Gazuntite’s GI service line director.
Through the partnership, Pioneer GI Clinic will expand its reach into multiple new states.
“We have spent our careers getting gastroenterology to people who cannot easily get to us, which in Alaska can mean a plane ride,” Dr. Pabby said in the release. “Now that reach is not only much easier but goes well beyond our four walls. With the power of the Gazuntite Specialist Decision Support platform we will be able to settle about 60 to 70% of non-procedural GI questions by directly coordinating care with the PCP.”
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
