Penn Medicine Opens Wilmott-Barna Center for Endoscopic Innovation, Research & Training

University of Pennsylvania Medicine celebrated the naming of the Wilmott-Barna Center for Endoscopic Innovation, Research and Training, a center established through a gift from Timothy Wilmott and his wife Nancy Barna.

The center is a collaboration between the medicine and surgery departments of Penn Medicine. It will be located in Penn’s Abramson Cancer Center. The center aims to provide training for future gastroenterologists and support for excellence in endoscopic research.

Mr. Wilmott and Dr. Barna’s gift will support a fellowship program, research and new technology.

Michael Kochman, MD, will serve as the center’s inaugural director.
