GI PE activity booming — Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates partners with Frazier Healthcare Partners

Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates closed a deal with Frazier Healthcare Partners and formed gastroenterology management company United Digestive Dec. 17.

Here’s what you should know:

1. Frazier is making the investment in United Digestive to fund “aggressive and strategic” growth.

2. United Digestive will provide GI practices regulatory assistance, resources and administrative services. The company plans to expand its footprint through expected near-term de-novo growth and acquisition activity.

3. AGA is a leading GI presence in the Atlanta area, withmore than 60 locations, including 14 endoscopy centers.

4. AGA Managing Partner and United Digestive CMO Steven Morris, MD, said, “This partnership will allow our physicians to continue their dedication to quality medicine and to thrive in a competitive and rapidly evolving market.”
