Here are two new additions US Digestive Health has made to its network that Becker's has reported on since Aug. 8: 

Pennsylvania is home to six of the best hospitals for gastrointestinal care, according to Healthgrades.

The AdventHealth Center for Interventional Endoscopy is expanding its services from its flagship location, AdventHealth Orlando to AdventHealth Celebration in Kissimmee, Fla.

During the first week of August, the American College of Physicians updated its guidance for colorectal screenings in asymptomatic, average-risk individuals, raising the recommended screening age from 45 to 50. Some experts are not in agreement with the new recommendations. 

Private equity-backed US Digestive Health has opened a new office in Langhorne, Pa., adding to its more than 33 locations and 19 ASCs.

While the average gastroenterologist makes $501,000 a year, New York City's highest paid gastroenterologist earns $882,400, according to data from Medscape's salary reporter.

Atlanta-based United Digestive and New York City-based payer Oscar Health partnered to extend care to patients in Georgia.

On Sept. 1, UnitedHealthcare is set to begin a two-phased approach to eliminate prior authorization requirements for several procedure codes, including three gastroenterology-related codes. The code removals will account for almost 20 percent of its overall prior authorization volume.
