Ohio ASC joins National Colorectal Cancer Roundtable’s initiative: 4 key notes

Columbus, Ohio-based Taylor Station Surgical Center joined National Colorectal Cancer Roundtable’s initiative to boost colorectal cancer screening rates, according to Markets Insider.

Here are four key notes:

1. Under the initiative, more than 500 organizations vowed to put forth effort to have 80 percent of U.S. adults aged 50 and older undergo colon cancer screenings by 2018.

2. Colorectal cancer ranks as the second-leading cause of cancer death in the nation, despite it being detectable and treatable.

3. Taylor Station Surgical Center offers services including gastroenterology, general surgery, orthopedics, plastic surgery, anesthesia, cardiology as well as ENT.

4. The surgery center also has a total joints program.
