The course, which is free for anyone to use, is title “Colorectal Cancer: Are Your Patients at Increased Risk?” It is divided into four lessons that focus on assessing risk, genetic testing, risk communication and counseling and screening and surveillance.
Each lesson is designed to guide physicians through a series of patient scenarios and vignettes. After completing the lessons, the physician’s skills will be assessed in identifying risk for hereditary colorectal cancer syndromes, according to the release.
The American Medical Association designates the enduring material for a maximum of 6.0 AMA PRA Category 1 credits. The American Medical Association also designates the performance improvement activity for a maximum of 20.0 AMA PRA Category 1 credits.
