Through the partnership, Fujifilm-China, Fujifilm-EU and Fujifilm-Asia/Pacific will begin distributing Beacon’s Endoscopic ultrasound devices in select markets outside the United States.
Beacon Endoscopic also announced that the two companies intend to investigate opportunities to co-develop interventional endoscopy technologies.
“Our relationship with Fujifilm will provide physicians worldwide the opportunity to experience the distinctive features of the Beacon Needle eXchange system,” said Brian Tinkham, co-founder of Beacon Endoscopic, in the release. “We anticipate broad acceptance of the technology due to several of our unique features: procedural efficiency, improved clinical safety and cost-effectiveness. We believe this will be a great catalyst for growth and expansion for the company.”
