New Jersey Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers Sponsors Colorectal Cancer Awareness Events

New Jersey ranks 29th among all states in the U.S. for percentage of people over the age of 50 who have been screened for colorectal cancer, according to a report by The Paramus Post.

In recognition of National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, the New Jersey Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers hosted two events to boost screening awareness.

The ASC association hosted an event in north New Jersey and South New Jersey. Neil Cohen, MD, spoke at the event held at The Endo Center in Voorhees (N.J.).

Anna Korkis, MD, Robert Levine, MD, Steven Leibowitz, MD, and Rosario Ligresti, MD, spoke the event held at The Endoscopy Center of Bergen County in Paramus, N.J. NJAASC President Larry Trenk also spoke at the Paramus event.
