Mission is requesting to add the room to a joint-venture health campus proposed by Mission and Pardee Hospital in Hendersonville, N.C.
A CON application for the room was denied last August on grounds that Mission did not “demonstrate the need” for the endoscopy room on the campus, according to the report. Mission resubmitted the CON for the room in April. A public hearing on the proposal is scheduled for mid-May, with a decision expected by late August.
Mission and Pardee agreed in January to move forward with construction of the 80,000-square-foot facility. Current plans (pdf) include imaging, laboratory services, urgent care and, if approved, the endoscopy suite.
Mission and Pardee plan to open the facility in 2013.
