Motus GI secures $30 million in funds & more — 4 GI companies making news

Several GI-facing companies made the news this past week.

New Hope, Pa.-based Motus GI Holdings closed a $30 million private placement.

Dublin, Ireland-based Allergan plans to invest $44 million into its Irish operations this year.

Kfar Malal, Israel-based Medial EarlySign integrated its machine learning tools into Tel Aviv, Israel-based Maccabi Healthcare Services EHRs, creating a predictive care engine. The engine identifies pre-symptomatic patients at high risk for colorectal cancer.

Boston-based GI Dynamics created a scientific advisory board and named Carel Le Roux, MD, PhD, and Jan Willem Greve, MD, PhD, its first two members.
