Mercy Health names Dr. Anton Decker chief clinical officer: 3 things to know

Cincinnati-based Mercy Health named gastroenterologist Anton Decker, MBBCh, chief clinical officer.

Here are three things to know:

1. Dr. Decker will continue his role as president of Mercy Health Physicians, Mercy Health’s employed physician group practice.

2. Before joining Mercy Health, Dr. Decker served as CMO and chairman of Banner Medical Group in Gilbert, Ariz. He also was chairman of the board of Banner Health Network, Banner’s accountable care organization.

3. Dr. Decker is a trained gastroenterologist and previously directed the Mayo Clinic Arizona Gastroenterology Fellowship Program.
