Lynx.MD debuts GI data repository

Medical data intelligence platform Lynx.MD has debuted a gastroenterology data repository that encompasses data representing more than 12 million patients, 60 million patient encounters, 100 medication records, 90 million clinical notes and 1 million colonoscopy images and notes.

The datasets have been curated through partnerships with industry giants including Gastro Health and Allied Digestive, according to a Jan. 24 press release. 

The platform will enable bio and medtech companies to develop, test and validate GI-related therapies by leveraging the insights in the datasets. 

According to data from the World Health Organization, 2 billion people annually experience some form of GI diseases. Lynx.MD offers real-world data on some of the most common, including nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease, inflammatory bowel disease and colon cancer.
