1. Dr. Rye runs the lipid research group at Kensington, Australia-based University of New South Wales Sydney.

2. Dr. Davison is a professor at Washington University of St. Louis.

3. Journal of Lipid Research Co-editor-in-chief Edward Davis, PhD, is stepping down after leading the journal since 2003, as is Co-editor William Smith, PhD. Dr. Davis’ longtime co-editor Joseph Witztum, PhD, stepped down in 2016, which led to Dr. Smith’s appointment.

4. Dr. Davis said, “In 2019, JLR will celebrate its 60th year as the premier journal devoted to both basic biochemical and clinical lipid research, and after some 20 years of association with the JLR — including 15 years as editor-in-chief — I felt it was time for new leadership to take the helm.”
