Illinois’s Silver Cross Hospital Receives Certification for Bariatric Center of Excellence

Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet, Ill., has been awarded three-year certification as a Bariatric Center of Excellence by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, according to a report by the Herald-News.

Silver Cross is one of only 10 bariatric surgery programs to receive the distinction in Illinois, according to the report.

The program is led by medical director Christopher Joyce, MD.
