What you should know:
1. Dr. Harrison is a visiting professor of hepatology at the University of Oxford in England. He is internationally known for his work around hepatitis C and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. He’s published more than 200 studies on these subjects to date.
2. He has served in a number of roles throughout his career, including a 20-year tenure with the U.S. Army. He retired in 2016 as a colonel.
3. Dr. Harrison earned his medical degree from Jackson-based University of Mississippi School of Medicine. He completed a residency and fellowship at San Antonio-based Brooke Army Medical Center and then completed an advanced liver disease fellowship at Saint Louis University.
