Harvard GI researcher named to uBiome’s medical advisory board

Wendy Garrett, MD, PhD, was appointed to uBiome’s medical advisory board.

Dr. Garrett is an associate professor at Boston-based Harvard School of Medicine. Her research focuses on the interplay between the gastrointestinal immune system, gut microbiota, inflammatory bowel disease and colorectal cancer.

uBiome is a microbial genomics company. Its SmartGut is the first sequencing-based clinical microbiome test designed to identify gut microbes for patients with IBD, irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
