Four societies partnered with the American Board of Internal Medicine to develop a new pathway for gastroenterologists and hepatologists to maintain board certification.
The key details to know:
1. The American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and American Association for the Study of Liver Disease are included in the partnership.
2. The partners aim to develop more options for gastroenterologists maintaining their certification.
3. ABIM and the societies will begin developing a new option in February.
