GI physician leader to know: Dr. Stephen Sears of Centers for Gastroenterology

Stephen Sears, MD, practices with the Centers for Gastroenterology, which he joined in 2008. He performs procedures at the Pinnacle III-affiliated Skyline Endoscopy Center, both located in Loveland, Colo.  He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

Dr. Sears served an additional seven years in the Army, after completing his fellowship at an army medical center. He concluded his military career as chief of gastroenterology at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Wash. He focuses on gastroesophageal reflux, constipation, hepatitis C, irritable bowel syndrome and ulcerative colitis.

Dr. Sears earned his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md. He completed his residency at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta, Ga., and then completed his gastroenterology fellowship at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio.
