GI physician leader to know: Dr. Paul Lebovitz of Allegheny Health Network

Paul Lebovitz, MD, is a practicing gastroenterologist and system vice chair of integration at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh. He is also an associate professor at Drexel University College of Medicine, also in Pittsburgh. He is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology.

Dr. Lebovitz' clinical interests include celiac disease, Crohn's disease, digestive conditions, gastroenterology and irritable bowel syndrome. His research work has been published in journals such as International Journal of Psychiatry in Clinical Practice and Seminars in Cutaneous Medicine and Surgery. He recently won the Rosenthal Award for Patient Support and Care from the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America. He regularly speaks at the CCFA as well as other professional events and recruits volunteers and sponsors for the western Pennsylvania/West Virginia Chapter.

Dr. Lebovitz earned his medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He completed his residency at University of Pennsylvania Health System in Philadelphia and completed his GI fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
