Dr. Popp has a professional interest in inflammatory bowel disease and has participated in numerous clinical trials evaluating novel therapies for IBD. He also has a keen interest in colorectal cancer prevention and has visited the Congress on numerous occasions to speak on the importance of preventative strategies. He serves as the medical advisor for the Stop Colon Cancer Now campaign.
Dr. Popp earned his medical degree at Yale University in New Haven, Conn. He completed his internal medicine residency at Yale New Haven Hospital and completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
