GI physician leader to know: Dr. Gregory Ginsberg of Penn Medicine

Gregory G. Ginsberg, MD, is the director of endoscopic services at Philadelphia-based Penn Medicine and is a professor of medicine and surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Philadelphia GI Training Group.

Dr. Ginsberg has a professional interest in Barrett’s esophagus, biliary disease, colorectal cancer, esophageal cancer, interventional endoscopy and pancreatic cancer. His work has been published in numerous prestigious journals such as Clinical Radiology, Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Endoscopy.

Additionally, Dr. Ginsberg serves as a moderate sedation policy champion at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, member of the HUP Supply Chain Committee and member of the Endoscopic Steering Committee.

Dr. Ginsberg earned his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and completed his residency at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital/Veteran Affairs Medical Center.
