Dr. Braden currently serves as chairman of Aria’s credentials committee and serves on the medical executive committee. Additionally, he is the founding editor of the GI section of Medscape, a post he has had held since 2001.He is currently the web editor for the American Gastroenterological Association and also created a mobile tool for gastroenterologists. He was recently appointed the chair of the AGA Think Tank on the Future of Practice.
Dr. Braden focuses his practice on the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease and chronic liver disease. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, American College of Gastroenterology and American Gastroenterological Association.
Dr. Braden earned his medical degree at Ohio State University Medical School in Columbus. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Chicago Hospitals and Clinics. He has also completed a clinical fellowship and a research fellowship, both in gastroenterology, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Boston.
