Dr. Faigel’s clinical interests include endoscopic ultrasound, ERCP, gastrointestinal cancers, biliary and pancreatic diseases and advanced endoscopy. He has a wide array research interests as well, such as developing new quality measures for colonoscopy and endoscopy and analyzing new tumor markers for pancreatic cancers and mucinous lesions.
Dr. Faigel has previously served as an associate editor for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and he has had his work published in The World Journal of Gastroenterology and Endoscopic Ultrasound.
Dr. Faigel earned his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He completed his residency at University of California, San Francisco. He has completed two fellowships — one in gastroenterology and another in advanced endoscopy at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
