GI leader to know: Dr. Sue McDiarmid of UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital

Sue V. McDiarmid, MD, is chief of the division of pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition at the University of California, Los Angeles Mattel Children’s Hospital.

She is the program director of UCLA’s pediatric training program and director of the pediatric liver transplant program. Additionally, Dr. McDiarmid serves as the medical director for UCLA’s hand transplantation program. She is a professor of pediatrics and surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.

She completed her pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition fellowship at UCLA Medical Center.
