GI leader to know: Dr. Shekhar Challa of Kansas Medical Clinic

Shekhar Challa, MD, is a gastroenterologist at Topeka-based Kansas Medical Clinic.

Dr. Challa is an accomplished practitioner and researcher, having served as the principal investigator for 17 different clinical research trials.

He began his career after earning his medical degree from Andhra Pradesh, India-based Kakatiya Medical College. He completed his internship, residency and fellowship at New York’s Coney Island Hospital.

Dr. Challa has been in private practice since 1987. He is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology.
